Ten years ago my health began falling apart. As a senior college instructor with a Master’s degree in Family and Developmental Studies, someone who literally taught human development and family wellness for a living, I still managed to miss every warning sign my body was sending me.
That’s the part that still gets me. I knew the research. I understood the physiology of chronic stress. And yet I found myself caught in the same pattern I’d read about countless times: placing impossible standards of perfection on myself, rarely asking for help, and consistently putting everyone else’s needs above my own.
My body eventually delivered the wake-up call I couldn’t ignore. What followed was years of humbling, integrated recovery. I collaborated with naturopathic doctors. I also worked with physical therapists, acupuncturists, and other practitioners. Together, we pieced my health back together one layer at a time.
That experience changed everything.
I became a certified health and life coach not in spite of my breakdown, but because of it. I wanted to help other moms recognize the warning signs I missed before their bodies forced them to stop. I wanted to bridge the gap between what the research says and what actually works in the messy, exhausting reality of everyday motherhood.
That’s what Balanced Mom Blueprint is built on.
Here you’ll find evidence-based wellness strategies that don’t ask you to be perfect, just to start. Practical guidance on stress and burnout recovery, sustainable nutrition, motherhood balance, and creating a home environment that supports your whole family’s well-being. All of it grounded in research. All of it written with the warmth of someone who has genuinely been in the thick of it.
I’m a senior college instructor, a certified health, life, and mastery coach, a mom of two teenage sons, and a proud dog mom. I live the Balanced Mom Blueprint method every single day. Not because it looks good on paper, but because I know what happens when you don’t.
When mothers reclaim their wellbeing, everyone benefits. Your health matters. Not just for you, but for everyone who counts on you.
Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
